There is a signiﬁcant chance that a child or teen can increase the risk of acquiring leukemia and lymphoma just from consuming cured or processed meat as well as ﬁsh. Research, performed by a group of scientists back in 2009, was started in order to ﬁnd the cause and effect of acutely acquired leukemia and lymphoma. They studied over 500 Taiwanese children and teens that were either with or without acute leukemia. Their ﬁndings have shown a link between eating cured and processed meats and ﬁsh and an increased chance of acquiring leukemia and lymphoma.
